In 1841, a George Hibberd (b. 1816, Hampshire) was living in Shirley, part of the parish of Millbrook, Hampshire (now in Southampton). He worked as a smith and was living with Christian Hibberd (b.1821, Hampshire).

George Hibberd (aged 34) of Highfield, was buried on 8th April 1850. He was just the second burial in the newly consecrated churchyard.
